Billy Ray was born January 07, 1938 in Iredell Co. to the late Elmer Bill and Ida Mae Pierce Parker

Billy Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Betty McCrary Parker and a longtime companion Frances Keeter.

Billy Ray was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and retired from Deitz Motor Lines.

Surviving are his two sisters, Iva Lee Yates, of Hiddenite, Catherine Morgan, of Hickory a brother, J.D. Parker, of Hickory and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 16th, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Rick Fox officiating.

Burial will follow in in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Sawmills.

The family will receive friends Monday, 15th, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
