Billy Gene Honeycutt

Conover – Billy Gene Honeycutt, 85 of Conover went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

Born on April 20, 1935 in Watauga County, NC. Billy was the son of the late Rev. Everette James and Lola Taylor Honeycutt. Billy was a devoted employee for Bowman Roofing for 40 years. He was also an avid golfer and loved to hunt and fish. His favorite place to hunt was Kenora, Ontario in Canada. HG&H Sports was his second home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Honeycutt and a son, Timothy Honeycutt.

Survivors include, sons, Keith Honeycutt (Zena), Scott Honeycutt (Angie), Jonathon Honeycutt; daughters, Kimberly H. Sipe (Phillip) and Michelle H. Edwards (Jerry); daughter-in-law, Kimberly S. Honeycutt; brothers, Aaron Honeycutt (Nila), Earl Honeycutt (Sylvia); grandsons, Corey, Dustin, Kendall, Zachary; granddaughters, Aleisa, Amber, Stephanie, Savannah, Brittany and Destiny; great-grandsons, Jacob, Jackson, Aiden, Landin; great-granddaughters, Katie, Allyson, Ava and Brooklyn.

A private graveside service with immediate family only, will be held at Catawba Memorial Park on Thursday, January 7, 2021 with Pastor Eric Hauss officiating.

A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled at a later date.
