Betty Jean Ball Huffman, 72 of Hickory, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 20, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born on February 9th, 1952 in Burke County, Valdese, NC. Betty was the daughter of the late Walter Buford Ball and Eva Nell Golden Ball Fredell. Betty loved the outdoors, especially camping in the mountains with family and friends. She retired form Sherrill Furniture after many years of faithful service. She also loved her cats. Betty was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Tony Ray Huffman and a brother, Wayne Walter Ball.
Those left to cherish her memory include, a son, Anthony Ray Huffman and fiancé Amy Strother; a sister in law, Audrey Jean Ball; 3 nieces, Carrie Ann Simmons, Chelsea Triplett, Lori Lea Ball and a nephew Henry Stiltner.
A Graveside Service will be held at Catawba Memorial Park on Thursday, May 30th, 2024 at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Society of Catawba County in Betty’s name.
