Bertha was born April 2, 1931 in Fletcher, N. C. to the late Claude and Annie Benson Hudson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis Branch and a son, Edward Lewis Branch.
Surviving are her daughter, Wilma Branch Sagy and husband, John of Asheville; her sons, Tommy Lee Branch and Clifford Ray Branch both of Weaverville.
A graveside service will be Tuesday at 1:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery, Hickory, NC, With Reverend Ernie Richards officiating
