Barbara Ann Watts 87, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord Jesus on Thursday May 13th, 2021 at her home of 54 years in Conover, N.C. Born on August 22, 1933 she passed after several years of declining health.
She was the daughter of Robert M. Miller and Nora Beachboard Miller of Ashville, N.C.
Mrs. Watts was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. She was known as an excellent cook and home maker. She loved spending time with her family and special fur babies. She liked reading and keeping up with world events. Mrs. Watts was employed by Hamco Industries for more than forty years. In addition she was the owner and operator of BarLyn Enterprises. Mrs. Watts liked donating to her favorite charities and helping people out. Most of all she loved donating treats to the Conover Police Department. To show her appreciation for all their hard work and sacrifices to our community. One of her most cherished memories was on her birthday last summer when the Conover police and fire department honored her with a drive by parade in front of her house.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Watts was proceeded in death by her Husband Jacob Leonard Watts Sr., son Jacob L. “Lenny” Watts Jr., a brother John Robert Miller and a grandson Tyler Lee Bandy. She is survived by a sister Edna Miller Martin of Ashville, brother William R. Miller of California, twin daughters Deborah Watts Sigmon and husband Ronnie of Claremont, and Denice Watts Bandy and husband Michael of Newton. Surviving grandchildren are Shawn Sigmon of Claremont, Sergeant Jason Sigmon and wife Kristin of Enterprise, Alabama, Byron Sigmon of Hope Mills, Marcus Bandy and wife Andi of Conover, and Lieutenant Lucas Bandy and wife Brittany of Navarre, Florida. Great-grandchildren surviving Mrs. Watts are Kody and Jacob Sigmon of Enterprise, Alabama; Eden, Colby and Emma Bandy of Conover; Garrett, Tyler and Avery Bandy of Navarre, Florida.
The family will have private a moment of remembrance before internment on Saturday. In lieu of flowers the family ask for Barbara Watts memorial donations made to the Conover police department.
