Angela Ruth Smith

Born on August 22, 1936 in Catawba County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Otho and Georgia Sigmon. For many years she was a nurse “LPN” where she concentrated on private duty Terminal cases. She also played the organ for several Lutheran churches throughout Catawba County, NC, TN and FL.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Charles B. Smith; brother, Rowell Sigmon; sister, Ocoee Simpson; and great grandson, Joshua D. Miller.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Charles D. Smith (Hilda); daughters, Teresa Beaudoin, Melinda Smith, Beverly Setzer, Lisa McCoy (Randall), Carrie Christy (Adam), Callie Smith; sister, Charlotte Jo Carpenter; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held at 4pm Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Catawba Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremations with Reverend Dennis Quackenboss and Reverend Dr. Mike Ramey. A Private family burial will be held prior to the service. Condolences may be left at www.catawbamemorialpark.com.
