Ana fought with fortitude a 6 year battle with ovarian cancer and at the end,
surrendered to God's will with faith and dignity.
She had a successful 32 year career as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist In Northern Virginia and Maryland in both private and public sectors. She assisted thousands of patients improve the quality of their lives.
She proudly retired from NIH- Clinical Center Rehabilitation Medicine Department.
She is survived by her mother Sonia, her earthly guardian angel - sister-in-law Michelle (Juan Luis, RIP)
Brothers Carlos,(Miosottis), Jorge (Carmen), and two nieces and two nephews.
Ana felt exceptional gratitude to Michelle who helped her transition at the expense of Michelle's own health. No one would have done what Michelle did for Ana.
Ana had a sharp mind, a dry sense of humor, wit and wisdom. Throughout her life she tried to do the best she could and was a solid Christian and decent human being.
