Alma Styles Ayers , 74,of Hickory, passed away on Saturday, March 8th, 2025 in Hickory, NC. Born November 18, 1950 in Yancey County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ules Grant Styles and Atlas Davis Styles. Alma enjoyed “working”, planting things and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her brothers, Robert David Styles and Odell Styles and wife Sherri; sisters, Ruby Walker and husband Clyde, Edna Walker and husband James, Helen Davis and husband Telsie, Dorothy Nguyen and Wilma Autrey.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Dewayne Ayers of Green Mountain, NC; daughters Tammy Ayers and fiancé Elijah Farley of Hickory and Crystal Bryson of Conover; sister Edith Bridges and husband Doug of Hildebran; Brother in laws, Vu Nguyen of Hickory and Gary Autrey of Marion and a host of nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
A celebration of life service for Alma will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 2:00pm at Catawba Funeral Home, 3060 US Hwy 70 SE, Hickory, NC 2862. A visitation will occur Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Catawba Funeral Home.
