Alice Marie Watts Cook

Marie was born July 18, 1924 in Burke County to the late Kelly and Flavia Mull Watts.

Marie was a member of Mt. Hebron Lutheran Church and retired from Bill’s Repair Shop.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Pairlee Holder and two brothers, Elmer and Carl “Dick” Watts.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law: Barbara J. Benfield and husband Stewart of Connelly Springs,a son and daughter-in-law; Barry W. Cook and wife Jennie of Hildebran, three granddaughters; Alice Hicks and husband Steven of Greensboro, LeAnne Lynn and husband Jimmy of Hildebran, Julie Walker and husband Brian of Hickory, two grandsons; Jeff Jacomine of Hickory, Joseph “Buddy” Jacomine of Hipldebran, four great granddaughters; Casey Hicks, Kali Jacomine, Stephanie Hicks, Brianna Walker, and three great grandsons Dennis Hicks, Jordan Cook, Joseph Jacomine, two sisters and a brother-in-laws; Flow Buff and husband Virgil of Connelly Springs, Ruby Jane Moretz and husband Harley of Hickory and a brother Joe Watts and wife Ora Lee of Hickory and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Mt. Hebron Lutheran Church on Thursdsay January 13th, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Russell Makant officiating.

Burial will follow in the Winkler’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 13th, 2011 from 12 :00 P.M.– 1:45 P.M. in the fellowship hall at Mt. Hebron Lutheran Church
