Aaron Kyle Pannell, 34, passed away at his home on October 14, 2023, following a long battle with illness.
Aaron is survived by his mother, Tara Lindsay Pannell and his sister, Makayla Dee Pannell. His Aunts Cheryl Lindsay Hunsberger, Sharon Lindsay Macaluso (Gary) as well as cousins Lindsay Macaluso Hopkins (Corey), Addison Macaluso (Kagan), Gunnar Hunsberger (Maddie), and Kinley Hunsberger.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Clayton Pannell, his maternal grandparents, William and Ruth Lindsay, and Uncle Karl Hunsberger.
Aaron completed his bachelor’s degree in 2012 from East Carolina University. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was very charming and friendly to everyone he met. He loved to laugh, thoroughly enjoyed a good joke, always had a witty retort ready in every conversation, and could quote almost every line from his favorite TV show, Friends. He loved watching sports and was an avid supporter of his team, the Philadelphia Eagles. He also enjoyed playing tennis and being with his rescue dog, Barney. Aaron’s boisterous laugh and charm will be missed but never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Catawba County Animal Shelter.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 2 PM – 4 PM at Catawba Funeral Home.
Services will be private.
