A J Moretz

Born in Catawba County on July 17, 1927, he was the son of the late Charles Avery and Metta Lail Moretz.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Houston Moretz and 2 sisters Faye Moretz and Doris Icenhour.

He is survived by his 6 children, Linda Baker, Dennis (Jennifer) Moretz, Allen (Mavin) Moretz, Sharon (Dave) Shutters, Annette Moebius, Angela (Joe) Sigmon; 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, and brother Kenneth Moretz.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Conover.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11:00 am at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Conover with Reverend Scott Bollinger officiating.

Burial will follow in church cemetery.
