Merquiades Cortes

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Merquiades Cortes, who was born in Puerto Rico on December 10, 1936, and departed from this world on October 6, 2024, in Miami, Florida.

Merquiades lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family and friends. She was a beacon of kindness and wisdom, touching the lives of everyone she met. Her vibrant spirit and unwavering love shined brightly through the many stories she shared and the traditions she cherished.

She is survived by her beloved family, who will carry forward her legacy of compassion and strength. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know her.

A Viewing will be held on October 14, 2024, at Caballero Rivero Hialeah Funeral Home from 6 P.M. until 12 A.M. at 373 West 9 Street, Hialeah, Florida, 33010.

Merquiades will be laid to rest at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn West Cemetery on October 15, 2024, at 12 noon, located at 14001 N.W. 178 Street, Miami, Florida, 33018.

Rest in peace, dear Merquiades. Your legacy will live on in our hearts.
