Maria Teresa Gonzalez was born in Guanabacoa, Habana, Cuba on August 2, 1928. She was married in Cuba to Virginio Gonzalez, and had her first son, Virginio, in 1959. In 1960 all 3 left Cuba to Madrid, Spain where in 1962 she had her 2nd son Juan Carlos. They all came to the United States in 1974. She adored her sons whom she always referred to as “mis 2 tesoros”. She was extremely proud of her 3 grandchildren, and she would ask about them every time anyone went to see her at the hospital or rehab facilities.
Maria is survived by her son Juan Carlos Gonzalez (Madeleine Gonzalez); her son Virginio Gonzalez; her grandsons Christian Gonzalez and Christopher Gonzalez, and her granddaughter Vanessa Gonzalez.
A visitation for Maria will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Hialeah, 373 W 9 Street, Hialeah, FL 33010. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 15801 NW 67th Avenue, Miami Lakes, FL 33014. A committal service will occur Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Vista Memorial Gardens, 14200 NW 57th Avenue, Miami Lakes, FL 33014.
