Josefina Beatriz Santin was born in Cespedes, Camaguey, Cuba on November 20, 1930 and went to heaven on Monday, January 2, 2023, at age 93 in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Josefina was surrounded by her family. Josefina was born to Obdulia and Avelino Alvarez in Cespedes, Cuba. Josefina was the eldest sister of six siblings, Ana Maria Borges, Maria las Nieves Alvarez, Alicia Alvarez, Ricardo Alvarez and Carmen Stancic.
Josefina was married to the love of her life Hugo Santin and had 3 children, Maria del Pilar Lopez, Maria de los Angeles Dayeh (Hassan Dayeh) and Luis Alberto Santin (Ana Niurka Santin).
Josefina and Hugo emigrated to the United States in the early 70's and lived in Passaic, New Jersey. Upon retirement they moved to Pembroke Pines Florida. Josefina was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, grandmother and friends to many.
Josefina was blessed with 9 grandchildren Addiel Lopez, Gissel Lopez, Amel Dayeh, Annan Dayeh, Lynsey Santin, Ashlee Santin, Iman Dayeh, Aron Santin and Tarik Dayeh. She was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren, Alexys, Dalia, Alessia, Elias, Layla, Mila, Owen, Arlo, Jad and Olivia Josefina.
Josefina was the light of her family who loved spending time with her family and had a loving gentle nature who always wanted to know how her family was doing. She will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones.
A mass for Josefina Beatriz Santin will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception, 4497 West 1st Street, Hialeah, FL 33012.
