Today is the day we lost Simon 2 years ago here at the Renaissance in Long Beach very nice and down to earth gentleman he will be forever missed sincerely Joe Vailes the building cleaner

I am Joe the building cleaner for the past 19 years that's how long I've known Simon Simon was a very nice generous kind man his presence is definitely missed I can recall so many  mornings throughout the years during the week seeing him leave out as we would cross paths and acknowledge each other with a brief conversation or just a good morning I also miss seeing him and his wife Rita go for walks and return to the building what a lovely sight of course I know she misses him dearly Simon May you rest in peace and once again your presence is definitely missed

I can say that I have only met Simon through the incredible stories and words of his Son, Mark.  Passing these memories on to the generations to come are the sole purpose of life…so we can learn, smile and pass it forward…

Simon was a wonderful man that I knew in the building the Renaissance in Long Beach that I kept clean for 19 years very friendly always said hello to me I usually would see him in the morning as he was on his way to go check on his business I was told he had in Brooklyn he was also a very generous man it was great seeing him and his wife leave out of the building going on there little short walks from time to time over the years he will truly be missed in my eyes I send my deepest condolences to his wife and kids Joseph W Vailes Jr/ building cleaner

Upon Mr. Bergers passing I was without words, it was too overwhelming. When words finally came they were simple, in Mr. Berger’s passing We lost the greatest man I will ever know

I met Simon more than 1x.  His spirit was evident from our first introduction.  The light inside him was so evident, and I will be forever changed by that spirit.
His spirit lives on so beautifully in his family and those he touched.
