I was shocked and saddened to hear of Aunt Maxine’s passing as she was as exuberant as usual when we last met in November.  When I see Maxine in my mind’s eye she is laughing: a great laugh, expressive and full, enjoying life.   As we shared many holidays and family events, Maxine was ever the warm and welcoming hostess.  Distance separated us but I am glad that we got to be together with Robert, Lisa and my mother before we moved away from New York.  Maxine set an example for living a full and happy life. She will be missed by her many dear friends and loving family!  Love to Robert, Lisa and their families.  Memories of Maxine and her joyful laughter will surely be a blessing.

We so looked forward to our bridge teacher joining us during the winter season.
Maxine was gracious with her time and patience.  However, as the expert teacher she was,  not shy in telling us to quote”that’s baby bridge girls “.  We laughed and recognized her desire for us to learn and progress.

The Goldberg house was practically my second home as a kid growing up in Woodmere. So many good times at Bob's house, Maxine's strong, warm and friendly presence all around. This is a sad time for all; may her love and memory be a comfort.
