Patricia Ann Edwards

Patricia Ann Edwards, 83, of Hesperia, California passed away on May 10, 2017 surrounded by her loving family and friends. A native Californian, Patricia was born on April 8th 1934 and was raised in Arcadia, California. Married in 1959, Patricia began her life long commitment to volunteerism. Her journey started in support of her own children at Immaculate Conception School in Monrovia, California where she was on the Women's Club and PTA and coordinated efforts in establishing the schools first library.

After the heartbreaking death of her eldest daughter, she raised her grandson, Alex and continued her volunteerism with Hesperia Unified School District. She was a member of D.A.C., School Site Councils and the Hesperia High School Parent Center. Pat faithfully served on the HUSD Parent Coordinating Council for many years. Involvement with that Scholarship awarding council was her pride and joy. That coupled with her love of books and reading ensured her involvement with the annual Scholastic book fair where she loved greeting the shoppers and coordinating the student volunteers.

Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill in 1997, her eldest daughter, Erin in 2000, and youngest daughter, Monica in 2005. She will be missed and remembered for her great sense of humor, tenacity of purpose and feisty spirit by her two remaining children. Daughter, Brenda Sewell of Hesperia and family and Son, Michael Edwards of Alta Loma and family. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Alexander Siamsakoon Edwards, Megan and Nicholas Sewell and Lauren and Cole Edwards.

Patty's ability to make people laugh, her pluck and passion for education and volunteerism made her a rare and unique gift to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and her memory forever cherished.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 2PM at Sunset Hills Memorial Park,

Apple Valley, California.
