Following graduation from Miami Norland High School, Miami, FL in 1971, he moved to California and enlisted in the Air Force. Later, as a career truck driver, he was a consummate professional with hundreds of thousands of miles of accident-free driving. He had been employed since 2008 by the Linde Group at the time of his death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 3½ years, Patricia, and grieved by his four children, Chris (Stephanie), Kevin, Stephanie and Suzanna, all of Hesperia; his stepsons James Babin (Yolanda) of Fayetteville, NC and Tyson Babin (Bailey) of Woodstock, GA; his granddaughter Ava LaMere of Hesperia; and step-granddaughters Affinity and Kourtney Babin. He is mourned deeply by his sister Lynn Krause (Steve) of Galena, Illinois; and his brother, Scott LaMere (Lisa), of Hesperia, CA; his cousins, Walter and Lance (Valeria) Nystrom, of Spring, TX and The Woodlands, TX; and his three nieces and two nephews. Holding Blair in their hearts are his mother-in-law Beatrice Thurman of The Woodlands, TX; and his ex-mother-in-law, Ita Holenbrook of Apple Valley, CA. Blair was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Jack and Jean LaMere, and Earl and Grace Kaiser; father-in-law, Francis Thurman, and ex-father-in-law, Melvin Holenbrook.
