William was born September 27, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts. Raised by his mother; Margaret Macdonald and had 4 siblings. He graduated high school, and went into the army until 1964. Soon after he went on to marry his wife of almost 50 years Sandy. They had 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
As a child William, aka “Bill”, always loved company and was very social\ and outgoing. He played a little hockey In high school. Bill loved playing golf and bowling. He also enjoyed watching every Patriots and Red Sox game, a die hard fan, and his favorite all time show, Jeopardy. He was a bus driver for 28 years with the MBTA before retiring and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada with his family and buying a new home. Bill loved blackjack, poker and his yearly trips to California for the beach with Sandy.
William was a very beautiful soul , he was hard working, a loyal friend, and a very giving, thoughtful man. He was a amazing father, grandfather and husband. He was also a very proud to be a veteran and loved being a crossing guard.
William is survived by his daughters; Jennifer Casey-Deconinck, Shereen Casey, son in law; Jack Deconinck, brothers; George Hodges, Jack Macdonald and 2 sisters; Mary Davis and Carol Macleod. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Billy, Michael, Jeffrey, Katelyn and Breanna. He was preceded in death by his wife; Sandra Casey and son; William Casey.
Services will be held February 7, 2020 at 1:00pm at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary at 800 S. Boulder Highway Henderson, Nevada 89015 there will be refreshments after the service.
