Tyler L. Covington, age 28, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021. He was born May 4, 1993 in Kansas City, Kansas; he was the youngest son of Charles F. Covington. Tyler attended the public school system in Kansas City, graduating from Bonner Springs United District No. 203 where he received his High School Diploma in May 2014. Tyler was active in sports while in high school and very focused on his education as well as his physical fitness. He continued his education, attending Kansas City Junior College prior to enlisting in the United States Air Force.
Tyler selected the U.S. Air Force in April 2013 and received his training for the Military Police. Prior to Tyler’s discharge in April 2020, he was assigned to Security Forces.
Tyler confessed his faith in Christ at an early age at the St. Peter C.M.E Church Kansas City, Kansas. Pastor Tony Curtis, of Henderson and St. Peter C.M.E. were like a family to Tyler. Tyler was well accepted by everyone he met. He attended the College of Southern Nevada where he was focused on getting into Cyber Security. Tyler will always be remembered by his family, co-workers and friends as a person you would want to meet. He was young and had a love for life that was in the present while focused on the future. His death was a shock to all who knew him. Tyler’s work at the Vet Center will be missed by all.
Tyler leaves a host of friends and family that mourn his death and celebrate their time spent with Tyler.
Funeral services with military honors for Tyler will be held Monday, February 14, 2022 at 10:40 AM at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
