Trinidad Lopez

Trinidad Lopez, age 86, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023. Trinidad, "Trini" to most, was born the seventh child out of 10, in Tucson, Arizona to Teresa Moreno and John Moreno, of humble means.

Trini went to work at thirteen. She worked in sewing factories in order to help support her mother and siblings. In her spare time, Trini enjoyed crocheting throughout her life; making table runners and other various items for her family.

Trini was married to Robert Lopez. She married him on her eighteenth birthday, and were married for 63 years. Together Trini and Robert raised four children, five grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

During their marriage, Trini and Bob loved to entertain. Together they would hold an open house for 25 years, every Christmas Day. Her open house was known throughout the neighborhood and family; and was well attended by over 100 people coming and going throughout the day. She and Bob would also buy toys for every child attending.

Trini believed in faith and family. She leaves a family who follow in her footsteps. Trini is now at God's table.

Trinidad is survived by her children: Elizabeth Lopez and her wife, Coleen Hill; Robert Lopez and his wife, Margaret ; Victoria Lopez, and her life partner, Pam Sloan; grandchildren: Matthew Lopez, Marsha Lopez, Jordan Lopez, Alyssa Lopez, Sloan Lopez, Nicholas Lopez, Callie Claridy-Lopez; and her great granddaughter, Paisley Lopez. she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Lopez; her son Arnold "Tony" Lopez; her father, John Moreno, and her mother Teresa Moreno.

A visitation for Trinidad will be held Monday, April 10, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. a Rosary follow at 6:00 PM both at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Funeral mass will be Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 204 S Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Trinidad will be laid to rest at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
