Tracy Ann "Sunshine" Hardin, age 57, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, after a long and brave battle with Dementia. Tracy was born on December 3, 1964, at the U.S. Army Hospital at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, to Carole (LaBaw) Hayman and William Kenneth Manasco. While growing up, the family lived in many different states including Oklahoma, Ansbach Germany, Indiana, North Carolina, Illinois, and Wyoming; then finally finding home in Nevada as an adult.
As a child, Tracy participated in baton twirling with McBride's Majorettes, was a Brownie Scout, and was a member of the Flag Color Guard; first at Southmont High School in New Market, Indiana and then at Riverton High School in Riverton, Wyoming, where she graduated. Growing up, Tracy was a clever and imaginative child with a bold personality. She made friends easily everywhere she went.
On July 4, 1996 Tracy married Ricky Lee Hardin at the Little White Chapel of Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they were blessed with 5 children and 14 grandchildren. To help support her family, Tracy worked for 15 years for Walgreens until retiring in 2016. Her loving husband Ricky often called her his Sunshine.
Tracy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She would tell you that her favorite days were the days she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved sleepovers with her grandchildren, listening to country music and 80's rock music, watching her crime shows on TV, and traveling and sightseeing with her husband Ricky. Tracy and Ricky enjoyed the time they spent with their close friends, Robert & Sally Achord and Steph & Eric Wimberly. Tracy will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
Throughout her life, Tracy maintained her bold personality, her love of laughter, and her seemingly nonstop energy. She loved fiercely and had a giving soul, always looking to help those she knew and loved. She took great pride in her home and loved decorating it. She had an immense fondness for Hobby Lobby and Ross Dress For Less, where she loved to find beautiful bargains for her home. In the last few years Tracy got great enjoyment just sitting outside on her patio, listening to music that brought back memories for her and watching her dogs play in the yard. Those who loved her will remember her laugh, her smile, the sparkle that lit up her face when she saw something she liked; but mostly, she will be remembered for her loving heart.
Tracy is survived by her husband, Ricky Hardin; her children: Justin (Brooke) Romero, Joshua (Jennifer) Hardin, Nick Hardin, Zachary Romero, and Meghan Hardin (Dylan Carmain); three sisters: Renee Nickel, Kendra Keller and Tasha Scott; and 14 grandchildren: Justin Jr., Jagger, Scarlet, Josh Jr., Max, Emma, Sierra, Christopher, Jemma, Justice, Jayden, Amelia, Ryder & Bailey; and two dogs, Jimmay and Oreo. Tracy was preceded in death by her father, William Manasco, her mother, Carole Hayman; her step father, Don Hayman; her father in-law; Richard Hardin, and her very beloved dog Teddy.
A memorial service for Sunshine will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
