Steven Kelly Smith, 74, of Las Vegas, passed away June 2, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kelly was born on October 9th, 1946 to parents Lucille La Jean Smith and Walter Lorenzo Smith, and grew up in New Mexico. After graduation from Sandia High School in Albuquerque he attended Eastern New Mexico University and the University of Oregon, studying Communications and Philosophy. He was baptized on April 22, 1956 at the First Baptist Church in Albuquerque, and will always be remembered for his strong faith. Kelly worked in Construction Management and as a new home designer and building contractor for many years and was also an accomplished Artist. He also had a special passion for Sports, Cars, and the Bible. He lettered in Track and Cross-Country running, was a loyal New Mexico Lobo fan, and loved watching sports of all kinds, especially college basketball. Kelly spoke regularly about the old cars and motorcycles that he had and was looking forward to restoring his 1969 MGB. He was able to quote the Bible extensively and would debate theological matters with anyone who dared.

Kelly loved his children, Danyelle H. Landry of Keizer, Oregon, Paul Smith and Matthew Smith of Las Vegas, Nevada, Melisa Printup of Buffalo, New York, and Jeff Hansen of Stoutland, Missouri.
