She was born in Bermuda to Martin & Mabel Weaver on August 10, 1942. Sharon graduated from Delwood School and received her certificate of completion, the equivelant of a high school diploma.
She was married to Richard Edmond Pires in June 1963. They had two children, Richard Edmond Pires, Jr (deceased) and Teresa Ann Pires. They divorced in 1975.
Sharon worked as a switch board operator at the Bermuda Telephone Company and the Fairmont Hotel for many years. When she relocated to the US in 1983 she worked as a gas station clerk in Needles, CA. After moving to Vegas she worked in housekeeping for Dillards. She then worked for Budget service department as a receptionist/clerk until getting a position as a warranty clerk. Afterwards she became the caregiver for her mother.
Sharon was a member of the Paradise Seventh Day Adventist Church. She had a passion for knitting, crafting and helping others.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Pires, grandchildren: Marcus (Meggie) Lyons; Amanda Lyons (Quinn Short). Her honorary sons, Kevin Blackwell and Felix Dominguez and families. Her mother, Mable Durrah. Sisters, Suzanne Stephenson; Dorothy Thomas and Edith Valenzuela. Sister in law, Carey Gibson. She was predeceased by her brother Lewis Gibson.
