Ryan Lynn Jolley, of Henderson Nevada, passed away too soon on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the young age of 36. Ryan was born September 23, 1979 in Provo, UT to parents Lynn and Sherry Jolley. Ryan had three siblings: Shane Russell Carter, Roger Klint Carter, and Shalyn Jolley Small. Together with their parents, they made up a close-knit family who always worked and played together. Many times, other families would marvel at the close relationship that this family of six had. Ryan was adventurous, loyal, and fun-loving from the start. Growing up with his older sister Shalyn, they embarked on many adventures of all types. Ryan adored his older “sissy” Shalyn. Ryan was his mom and dad’s shadow in countless projects and learned to swing a hammer at a tender age. The skills he learned as a boy would result in Ryan becoming a master finished carpenter where he worked for the Las Vegas area Carpenters Union Local 1977 for 19 years. Ryan was a loving father of three children: Tanner Ryan, Tiffany Ann, and Tory Michael. He loved to spend time with his “Minions” as he referred to them, and enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking and cooking together. He loved his children more than anything in the world and cherished the time he had with them. Ryan made friends everywhere he went and could light up a room. He always had a smile on his face and was quick with a laugh, joke, and hug whenever needed by another. Ryan had an inexhaustible love for live and lived it to the fullest. Ryan’s favorite quote:
“Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same”
― Flavia Weedn
Thank you for coming into our lives and staying a while, Ryan.
