Ray was born in Rochester, New York, the second youngest of eight children. Ray met his wife of 52 years Arlene (Domalski) Walters while working at Silver Stadium, where he was a life-long fan of the Rochester Red Wings and had served as president of The Bullpen Club. Ray was awarded the Purple Heart for his braveries in Vietnam, was employed for over 30 years at Xerox and was a past president of the Rochester Bowling Association.
Ray will forever be remembered for his generosity, his humor, his Chapstick and his love of scratch-off tickets. While serving as care-giver for his mother-in-law, Gertrude; he volunteered his time at Wesley Gardens Nursing Home to revive their store for the residents. His greatest joy was bringing happiness to others and bragging about his two children and four grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene (Domalski) Walters; his daughter, Kristin Pecora and her husband Daniel; his son, Dennis Walters and his wife Ellen; grandchildren, Kaylene, Mikaela, Winston and Emmett. His sisters Susie and Margie; his brother Harvey and an extensive amount of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for Raymond will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
Memorials may be made to Mid Bar Kodesh Temple, 1940 Paseo Verde Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89012.
