Ralph Geral Morris, age 91, passed away on August 31, 2024 at Nathan Adelson Hospice Center. He was born on November 4, 1932 in Humphrey, Arkansas, the son of William and Ione Morris (Woods.) His family moved from Arkansas to California where he graduated from Weed High School, class of 1952. Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Air Force and shortly after married his high school sweetheart, Dolores Serrano. They shared a beautiful and happy marriage of 71 years.
After years of serving in different air bases in the United States and abroad, they settled in Fairfield, California. Ralph retired in 1979, after 27 years of service at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Following his US Air Force career he and Dolores started a Mac Tool business, which they worked for several years. In 1999, they made the decision to move to Las Vegas, Nevada to enjoy retirement life while taking road trips in their motorhome, attending Dixieland Jazz Festivals, and dressing in vintage clothing at Gatsby events. They loved to dance and never wasted an opportunity to be on the dance floor as long as there was good music playing.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his brothers: Bill Morris and Jimmy Morris. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Morris; sister, Jeanette Parkinson; children: Gerald Morris; Denise Cantrell and her husband Paul; Kenneth Morris and his wife, Leticia; seven grandchildren: Kyle Morris, Kelly Morris, Erica Cantrell, Charlotte Sarge, Kimberly Morris, Ashley Rowell and Jamie Morris; and five great grandchildren.
A private service of remembrance will be for family and close friends in Las Vegas, Nevada. Those who wish to remember Ralph in a special way may make gifts in his memory to Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 University Center Dr. St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
