Priscilla passed peacefully from this life the morning of July 2, 2018, after a gradual decline in health. She was 87 years at the time of her passing. She was surrounded and supported by her loving friends and family during the last days of her life.
Priscilla was born April 19, 1931 to John Daly and Betty Hegedus, in Stamford, Connecticut. In 1949, she married Albert Wargo and was blessed with three children. They lived happily together until Albert’s passing in 1969. In 1970, Priscilla met an amazing, gracious man, Chester Boerum, and later that year they were married. Together they raised Priscilla’s three children along with Chester’s three children. Priscilla was a loving, supportive mother to all of the children and her family meant everything to her. They moved their family together to San Juan Capistrano and later Villa Park, California. From here there adventures took them to Arizona and finally to Henderson, Nevada in the early 2000’s. In Henderson, they spent many joy filled years raising their beloved cats and dog, until his passing in 2013.
Priscilla was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and her animals. She was a determined individual and when she put her mind to something she always achieved her goals. Her faith was equally important and her devotion to faith helped her to lead a spiritual and fulfilling life.
Priscilla leaves to treasure her memories: three children, David Wargo, Karin Smith, and Barbara Williams; five grandchildren, Jenni Hockman, Douglas Smith, Cassandra Smith, Brandon Williams, and Michael Smith; two great grandchildren, Nicholas Hockman and Matthew Hockman; and two close friends, Rita Garcia and Lynda Kiner.
Priscilla D. Boerum will be buried on July 16th at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada at 12pm. A viewing will be held from 11:00am at Palm Mortuary on Boulder Highway in Henderson, NV.
