Patricia C. Vandeventer, age 88, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021. She was born December 15, 1932 in Carbon, Indiana to her parents John William Bridgewater and Hannah Elizabeth Powell. Patricia went on to graduate from Van Buren High School.

Patricia met the love of her life, Robert L. Vandeventer, and the couple were married on December 31, 1952. Together the couple were blessed with four children, nine grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Patricia devoted her life to her home and her family. In addition to raising a family, to help support the home, she worked in food service for the Beverly Manor Convalescent Hospital, and Nellis AFB and the I-70 Truck Stop. Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; whom enjoyed every moment she had with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In her spare time, she participated in her second joy in life, playing Bingo. Patricia and a heart of gold, was warm, compassionate, and kind; she will truly be missed.

A celebration of her life will be in Carbon, Indiana in early October, where she will be laid to rest in Calcutta Cemetery.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Vandeventer; parents: John and Hannah Bridgewater; son, Jim Vandeventer; and grandson, Nathan Furtado. She is survived by her daughters: Susan Johnson (Larry), Beth Furtado (Doug); son, Kevin Vandeventer (Lynn); grandchildren: Nicole Audlee, Stephanie Hardy, Patricia Murray, Sean Furtado, Melissa Horta, Sarah Lindsay, Jonathan Vandeventer, Lee Vandeventer, and Danielle Vandeventer; Great-grandchildren: Cameron, Cole, Caden Hardy, Kara, Noah and Ryan Audlee Adelaide Furtado, Autumn and Nicholas Furtado, Kenna, Aubrey, Kinley, Grayson Horta; Hannah and Asher Lindsay, and Hudson Vandeventer; sister, Nina Chapman; brothers: Larry, Bobby & John Bridgewater; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews.
