Marianne Cisternino, age 80, of Laughlin, Nevada passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Syracuse, New York, in 1942. Marianne graduated from Onondaga Community College with a degree in social work. She moved to California, where she spent 20 years, before settling in Laughlin, Nevada.
Marianne loved playing her favorite lucky Keno numbers at the local casinos. She loved spending time with her children and her grandchildren. Marianne will be remembered fondly as a woman with a quick wit, a wonderfully sarcastic sense of humor, and an ability to find humor in every situation. She loved watching the show, Yellowstone, and watching her favorite movie, Jesus Christ Superstar. Marianne also loved reading mystery novels, doing puzzles, playing Scrabble, and eating out at great restaurants, especially if fish and chips were on the menu.
Marianne is survived by her daughter, Mindy Munro; son, Matthew (Helen) Fletcher; two grandchildren: Kyle Munro and Chelsea Munro; and former husband, Michael Cisternino. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bernie Macko; mother, Mary Osuchoski; father, Stephen Macko; sister-in-law, Elaine Macko; and former husband, Arthur Rotenberg.
In lieu of flowers, Marianne's family requests donations be made to the Animal Foundation of Las Vegas.
