Lynnette was born 2/27/1942 in Ogden, Utah. Lynnette graduated from Basic High school in Henderson, Nevada.
She went to Brigham Young University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Lynnette taught Elementary school for 2 years in California, then she taught 31 years at Gordon McCaw Elementary School in Henderson.
Along with teaching at Gordon McCaw Elementary School, Lynnette attended UNLV, Las Vegas where she obtained her Master of Education degree. She had plenty of credits to obtain her Doctorate degree, but she chose not to pursue it because she wanted to be with the kids rather than having to be a specialist or teach at the college level.
Lynnette loved all the children she taught. Many of those students grew up, got married, had children, then insisted that their children also attend her class. In some cases, she taught all of the children in the family. She encouraged the students to read by offering to take them to a movie if they read 100 books. One student read over 300 books. He is now a mining engineer.
In 1994 she started dating Scott Bushman, who had 7 children. They were married on October 28, 1995. They have been married 28 years on the way to forever together.
Lynnette is an excellent artist. She has a gift for Calligraphy. She has learned to love John Wayne movies and Football because that is what Scott likes. Lynnette and Scott both like basketball and track, so that was easy. (He watches Hallmark movies with her, so it works out.)
She is preceded in death by her Father, Raymond Charles Rhees, her Mother, Fawn Campbell, her Brother, Richard Rhees, her Step-son, Keith Bushman, her grandson, Jacques Bushman, her Brother-in law, Jacques Decker Bushman (Dawn), Her sister-in-law Margo Lambson (Max), Her Father-in-law, Preston Junior Bushman and her Mother-in-law, Emogene Foutz, and all of her aunts and uncles on both sides of the family.
She is survived by her brothers Kent Rhees (Catherine), David Rhees (Ethleen), Tom Rhees (Jenny) and her sister Sue Shamo (Ned). Her Husband, Scott Bushman. their children, Michelle Bushman, Paul Bushman (Annie) and their children, Craig Bushman (Lynette) and their children, Eric Bushman and his children, Lisa Etheridge (Sean) and their children, and Richard Bushman (one of her former students) and his children.

Lynnette’s burial will be Monday, August 12, at 9:30 A.M. at the Pioneer Hill Memorial Cemetery on Lee Avenue, in Overton, Nevada. That is on top of the hill by the airport for those of us who had to run that route in High school.
