

Lawrence “Larry” Gilbert Kelsey was born in April of 1947 in Waterloo, New York. He passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a long time resident of Las Vegas. He joined the Navy when he was still a young man. He served in the Vietnam War. He retired from Boulder Disposal of Boulder City, Nevada. He loved riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles in his younger years and had a passionate interest in guns. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and bull riding competitions on television. He was a strong, brave and caring man who loved country music and helping those around him. He loved his family and friends but he loved his two dogs most of all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Willard Kelsey of New York, his wife, LaVonne Kelsey, and granddaughter, Daisy Quintana. He is survived by his 4 children, Tammy Wilson, Troy Kelsey, Ashely Westbrook, Crystal Gibbs, 2 step daughters, Ranee Tanksley, Christie Tanksley, and their respective spouses; 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and one niece. He has one sister, Phyllis Granger that continues to live with her husband in the family home built by his dad. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
