Kennith Barlow Rose Jr, 76, a 70 year resident of Boulder City, Nevada passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 14, 2012. Ken was born November 7, 1935 in Tremonton, Utah to Kennith and Ann Cannon Rose. He graduated from Boulder City High School in 1955 and immediately enlisted in the US Navy for four years. While stationed in Seattle, he met the love of his life, Karen, and they married. After returning from the service, he worked 33 years at Nevada Power Company as a Plant Maintenance Foreman and Planner Analyst until his retirement in 1993. Ken's favorite past time was traveling in his RV, and he was proud of the fact he drove through the 48 contiguous United States. He also loved pheasant season in South Dakota, summers in Idaho, Septembers in Kauai, Hawaii, and cheering on his grandchildren. Ken is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karen; daughter Kelly (Dale) Anderson of Sammamish, WA; son, Kennith III (Diane) of Boulder City; 6 grandchildren: Kyle, Coral, Crystal Anderson and Kenny, Kannon and Roman Rose; brother Karvel Rose of Princeville, HI ; sister Marjorie Pease Ellis of Boulder City; and Denzle Pease Jr of Boulder City, plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janet Pease Grasmick. Viewing will be held at Palm Mortuary 800 S. Boulder Hwy, Henderson from 3:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday, September 20. Services will be held on Friday, September 21 at 11:00am at Palm Mortuary in Henderson followed by his burial at the Boulder City Municipal Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd.
