Kathleen "Jackie" McMorrow, age 82, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020. She was born Kathleen Sarah Dever to her parents Agnes Kathleen (Catherine) Dever and James Dever, in North Middlesex County Hospital, on January 4 1938; located in the Sub-District of Edmonton, in the County of Middlesex, England U.K.
While her father was deployed to North Africa with the British Army; Kathleen's mother evacuated her and her baby sister, Anne, to Bollinglana, Currane co Mayo, Ireland during World War II and the German Blitz of London, to live with grand parents. After several years of separation, she reunited with her parents and moved back to Enfield Town, North London in 1946.
On August 6, 1955, Kathleen married Michael John McMorrow of co Leitrim, Ireland; at the Church of our Lady, St. Marylebone Parish London England. The couple would be blessed with eight children, one of which preceded her in death.
In 1957, Kathleen would relocate to the United States, where the family would settle at Edwards AFB. While raising her children, Kathleen went back to school to continue her education. Through her hard work and dedication, she graduated nursing school from Antelope Valley Community College in Lancaster, California, on January 17, 1979, at the age of 41. Kathleen, now a Licensed Vocational Nurse, worked the night shift at Lancaster Community Hospital throughout the 1980's until getting hired by Kaiser Permanente in 1989. After being a resident of the Antelope Valley for nearly 50 years she proudly became a United States Citizen in October of 1995. Kathleen retired from nursing in the early 2000's and moved from Lancaster, California to Henderson, Nevada in 2010.
Kathleen was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, whom devoted to her life to her family and community. She was energetic and outgoing. She loved Country Line dancing, traveling, maintaining a youthful mind, old movies, and Downton Abbey. After developing a very keen palate for wines, she settled on 5 dollar Barefoot Chardonnay, and was also an amateur food critic. Kathleen had a vibrant smile, and a zest for all that life had to offer, and she will truly be missed.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her former spouse and father of her children, Michael J. McMorrow; son, James Lawrence McMorrow; father, James Dever; and mother, Agnes Kathleen (Catherine) Dever. She is survived by her children: Michael F. McMorrow (Stephanie), Theresa McMorrow Jordan, Joseph A. McMorrow (Toni), Lawrence J. McMorrow (Dawn); Sean E. McMorrow (Candace); Anthony G. McMorrow (Patricia); and Stephen A. McMorrow (Jaffray (Kim); grandchildren: Brandon Rains, Ryan McMorrow (Trish), Cera McMorrow, Monica Vestrat (Josh), Shannon Vasquez (Josh), Cynthia McMorrow Newton, Lawrence McMorrow (Chasity), Dennis McMorrow (Amanda), Bryan McMorrow, Angela McMorrow, Michael Phillips, William Jeffrey McMorrow Jordan (Becca), Seth Clark Jordan, Joey McMorrow, Katelyn McMorrow Kocevar (Steven), and Josh Rains; 14 great grandchildren; and siblings: Anne Dever Letton and Terrence Michael Dever.

Due to COVID-19, a gathering of friends and family to celebrate Kathleen's life will be announced later this year and she will be laid to rest in Ireland.
