Today, we gather to celebrate the remarkable life of Georgeanne Hess, affectionately known as Peewee to those closest to her. Georgeanne's journey began on Nov. 3, 1953, at Saint Rose de Lima Hospital in Henderson, NV, as the cherished daughter of Nell and William Brezette.
Throughout her life, Georgeanne was a beacon of love and warmth to everyone she encountered. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever be etched in our hearts. She is survived by her adoring daughter, Amanda, who was the light of her life, her son-in-law Reynaldo, and her three grandchildren, Breyden, Lucas, and Kayleigh. Let's not forget her loyal companion, her beloved dog Poppy, who was always by her side.
Georgeanne found immense love and support in her family, particularly in her sister Sue and brother Bill. Their unwavering love and care sustained her through life's ups and downs. She leaves behind a beautiful tapestry of nieces, nephews, and great- nieces and nephews, as well as life-long friends, who were deeply cherished by her.
Georgeanne's journey was one filled with adventure and dedication. From her early years in Henderson to her illustrious career in the gaming industry spanning 45 years, she embraced every moment with passion and determination. Her career took her to various places, from the Union Plaza to the Showboat Hotel and finally to the MGM Grand and Aria Casino, where she left an indelible mark.
But beyond her professional accomplishments, Georgeanne found her greatest joy in being a devoted mother and grandmother. She often reminisced about the joyous moments spent with her daughter and grandchildren, which filled her life with boundless happiness.
In her final years, Georgeanne selflessly cared for her dear sister Anna and brother Bill, demonstrating her nurturing spirit and unwavering love for her family. Though she may have claimed not to be a caregiver, her actions spoke volumes about her immense capacity for love and compassion.
On Jan. 11, Georgeanne suffered a heart attack, and on Feb. 17, she peacefully journeyed into the loving embrace of the Lord. While we mourn her physical absence, we take solace in knowing that she is reunited with her beloved mother.
As we bid farewell to our dear Georgeanne, let us carry forward the light of her love and kindness in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that she was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
With love and fond memories, her devoted sister Sue
