George Robert Morley

George Robert Morley, age 94, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to his parents George Eugene Morley and Sarah Teresa Halliwell. Raised in Pennsylvania, at an earlier age, George enlisted with the US Navy as a Seabee. George served over 40 years with the Seabees retiring as a Master Chief Petty Officer.

In April of 1949, George married the love of his life, Betty Ruth in Los Angeles,California. Together the couple were blessed with two children. As their families grew they were blessed with two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

George was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife. He is survived by his children: George R. Morley II and his wife, Nicola; and Debra Lynn Morley; two grandchildren, one great grandchild; and extended family.

A military honors service for George will be held Friday, July 12, 2024 beginning at 9:20 AM at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, NV 89005.
