Gary Thomas Watson

Gary Thomas Watson, age 68, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022. Gary was born November 22, 1953 in Santa Fe New Mexico to his parents Harold Gene Watson and Helen Estella Espinoza.

Gary had 20 years of schooling graduating from Basic High School in 1971. He then went on to UNLV where he earned a Bachelors in Political Science, then to UNR, where he earned his degree in Public Administration. Gary then proceeded to Law School at Gonzaga University in Spokane Washington; where he graduated in 1980, Cum Laude.

Gary began practicing law in the Las Vegas area in 1980. He began by clerking for Judge Mendoza before moving into private practice. He worked for "Apple and Zervas and Robert M. Apple" for a few years before becoming the Supervising Deputy Attorney for the Nevada Attorneys for Injured Workers In Las Vegas, Nevada. Gary served as the Supervising Deputy Attorney for the next 25 years before retiring in in November of 2013.

Gary is preceded in death by his father, Harold Gene Watson; mother, Helen Estella Espinoza, and his wife, Deborah Watson. He is survived by his sisters: Linda Freeman and Marcia Frazier; nephew, Gene; nieces: Cameo (Tony), Lauren (Matt), and Macy (Anthony); and grandnephews: Ethan and Zane; and grandniece, Harmony.

Memorial services for Gary will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Gary will be laid to rest following at Palm Henderson Cemetery, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
