Gary Ace Baumgartner, 73, of Las Vegas passed away October 12, 2013. He was born May 25, 1940 in Schenectady, New York to Elizabeth Freeman Baumgartner and George W. Baumgartner. He was raised in Lemon Grove, CA. Gary is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marie Baumgartner; children, Michael (Barbara) Baumgartner, Randy (Karen) McPherson, Dawna (Mike) Alley, and Katherine McPherson; sister, Gail (Larry) Stroud; grandchildren, Michelle Eldridge, Glenda Hull, Heather Clemons, Kevin Alley, Jeff McPherson and J.R. Baumgartner; and great grandchildren. Gary and his wife lived in Las Vegas for 21 years. He lived and worked in Louisiana in the Lumber Industry. He was active in his church, Desert Hills Baptist Church. He and his wife were leaders of the Senior Adults Group at the church. He was the photographer for his Tops chapter Group, NV01, Las Vegas for several years. He will be missed greatly. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday October 16. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday October 17, both at Palm Mortuary – Henderson, 800 S. Boulder Hwy, Henderson NV 89015. Burial will follow services.
