Beverly Fay Gilbert, Byrns, Farmer, 91, formerly of Chicago and California, and resident of Las Vegas, passed away July 4, 2017. She was born January 8, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to her parents Harry and Lucille Gilbert. Beverly graduated from Belmont High School in Los Angeles. In 1949, Beverly married Norvell J. Byrns, who preceded her in death. In addition to raising her young family, Beverly was also a valued member of the family-owned, custom-drapery and interior-decorating in Long Beach, California. In 1977, Beverly married Stewart O. Farmer, whom also preceded her in death. Where ever she lived, Beverly was also an active member of her community. She was a fashion model, a member of International Order of Rainbow Girls, a member of Service Chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Long Beach, California; a member of Sunrise Chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Henderson, Nevada; and a member of Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserves Association. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will truly be missed. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, and daughter, Hillary J. Miller. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Byrns and his wife Beverly; daughter, Ellen Janowitz and her husband Ted; three grandsons: Christopher, Brett, and Patrick; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services with interment to follow will be at 10:40 a.m, Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, Nevada.
