Adelaida Ramos

Adelaida Ramos, age 79, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022. She was born October 19, 1942 in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico to Felicita Ramos and Martin Ramos. Adelaida was raised in Aguas Buenas with her four younger sisters and five younger brothers. Growing up, Adelaida enjoyed spending time with her friends, spending time with her family, as well as; sewing, gardening, and knitting. She graduated from Agua Buenas High School.

To support her growing family, Adelaida worked as a seamstress. She was employed for 15 years by Ben Bar Corporation before retiring in 1993. Upon retirement, Adelaida initially relocated from New Jersey to Nevada to be near her grandson.

Adelaida was a loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was blessed with three children; two daughters and one son; and as her family grew, she was blessed with six grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, decorating, gardening, and coloring. She loved to travel back to Puerto Rico to visit family and friends, and spending time with her four legged bully pit, Edna.

Adelaida was a creative and expressive woman; who was giving, kind and loving. She was devoted to her faith, family, and enjoyed living her life to the fullest. She had a heart of gold and a wonderful smile that could warm your heart. She will truly be missed.

Adelaida was preceded in death by her father, Martin Ramos; mother, Felicita Ramos; sister, Maria Ramos; and brothers: Jose and Rafael Ramos. She is survived by her children: Jose L. Colon (Jay); Maria S. Grosso (Louis); and Carmen Z. Colon (Tony); siblings: Lucy Ramos (Hector), Aida Ramos, Virginia Ramos, and Hector Ramos; her grandchildren: Michael Ericson Perez, Londyn Adelina Grosso, Bella Nicole Grosso,Bianca Nunez, Alisson Yaguachi, and Jefferson Yaguachi; nieces: Ivette Alicea and Marla Figueroa; and nephew, Luis Alicea.

A visitation for Adelaida will be held Monday, March 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM, both at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Adelaida will be laid to rest following at Palm Henderson Cemetery, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
