Aaron William Kyes, age 52, of Henderson, Nevada Aaron left this world on Friday, August 11, 2023 to take his place in heaven. He was born in Spokane, Washington to his parents Larry Eugene Kyes and Lorraine Louise Thomas. In 1977, his family moved to Henderson, Nevada. Aaron graduated from Basic High School in 1989.
Aaron supported his family working in the software industry. Throughout his professional career, he worked for companies like Cytek, Clark County Reclamation District, Kaseya, and First American Financial. To further his career and education, Aaron attended DeVry University in Phoenix, Arizona, graduating in 2002. Through his hard work and dedication, Aaron obtained promotion to Lead Software Engineer, a position he held until his passing.
Aaron was a loving husband and father who loved his family dearly. He enjoyed any activity that was outdoors, including hiking, stargazing, kayaking, biking and dabbling in pickleball. In his spare time he enjoyed computer games, watching movies, cooking, and playing golf.
Aaron fought an almost 2 year battle with liver cancer. He maintained his positive attitude throughout and he would tell everybody that he was “living his best life.” His battle never made him bitter or angry and he never felt sorry for himself. He wore his Superman shirt to treatments and listened to “You Can’t Bring Me Down” by Suicidal Tendencies to remind him of his strength and courage.
Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine (Garry) Buck. He is survived by his wife, Laura Kyes; daughter, Danielle Kyes; stepsons: Eric and Kyle Shabat; father, Larry Kyes; brothers: Alex and Randy Kyes, and many lifelong friends who knew and loved him.
