Muriel Birke

Muriel Birke, age 87 of Baldwin, New York passed away on August 9, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Birke; loving mother of Bruce Birke, Karen and Robert Ranlett, Randy and Laura Birke, and Russell Birke; adored grandmother of seven, and great grandmother of five; cherished sister of Joshua Sokolow. Muriel was a dedicated social worker for over twenty years for Nassau County, she will be missed by many. Services will be held at I.J. Morris Hempstead on Sunday August 12, 2012 commencing at 1:00pm, with interment to immediately follow at the Beth Moses Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY. Shiva will be observed at the home of Randy and Laura Birke, (2376 Parkview Pl. Baldwin, NY 11510) Sunday following the service through Wednesday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
