William B. Schmitz, "Bill" passed away on January 25th, 2017. He was born in Los Angeles on October 9, 1932, to William and Madeline Schmitz. He was happily married to the love of his life, Nancy, for 57 years. Bill was a creative, inventive, and imaginative man. He had a successful dental career spanning 40 years, and patented a dental device. Bill graduated from Cal with a degree in Paleontology, served in the 8th Army Honor Guard in Korea from 1955-57, and received his dental degree from the University of Detroit. He was an active Rotarian for over 40 years. He loved sports, especially USC football, and was very happy with their recent Rose Bowl victory.
Writing was an important part of his life, from the stories he wrote and illustrated when young, to the several screen plays he finished later in life.
Bill is survived by his wife Nancy, son Eric and wife Christine, daughter Bethany Covington and husband Paul, and grand-children Cian and Ainslie Covington.
Services will be held at Bible Fellowship Church, 26835 Columbia Ave, Hemet CA 92544 on Saturday, February 11th, at 11 am.
