

Stevan Neal, of Sun City, CA passed away at home on November 8, 2011 with his family by his side. Stevan was born in Los Angeles, CA to John and Beatrice Neal. He joined the US Navy and proudly served his country. He met and serenaded with his guitar the love of his life, Sheila May Cook. They married and together they raised 3 children in 'Garden Grove', CA. After retiring in '99, Stevan and Sheila moved to Sun City, CA to split the distance between children and grandchildren.
Stevan was a family man with a good sense of humor. He and Sheila took their children camping monthly and were involved in the Independent Order of Foresters(IOF), a fraternal family organization. Stevan thoroughly enjoyed playing horseshoes & was the chairman of the horseshoe club for approximately 9 years. There was the 'Steve Neal Open' tournament in Sun City, CA named after him by the NHPA. His family can recall him having a 'highball', a smoke, watching football, and playing Texas Hold 'Em on the computer.
Stevan is survived by his loving wife of almost 52 years, Sheila May; children Shane, Sondra and Shelly; 4 grandchildren Taylor, Sierra, Robert, and Stewart; and 3 siblings Jeanette(Sacramento) Richard(Redlands), and Roger(Washington D.C.). Stevan was preceded in death by his parents John Russell Neal and Beatrice Syble Neal; his brother George and sister Sylvia.
