The family of Sandra Lynn Ryan is saddened to announce her passing from Congestive Heart Failure in Riverside, California. Sandra was born in Dallas, Texas on September 2, 1940, and entered eternal rest on June 29, 2018. She joins her beloved husband, Dr. William Ryan, who preceded her in death in August of 2016.
Sandra is survived by her daughters, Susan Mackintosh (husband Randal Mackintosh) and Lori Weber (husband Allan Joseph Weber). She is additionally survived by seven grandchildren, Heather Williams, Ryan Mackintosh, Whitney LaFon, Brittany Scollard, Erin Voogt, Jordan Weber and Morgan Weber, and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to being a greatly loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Sandra was a gifted educator. She obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and her teaching credential from the University of California, Riverside. She went on to teach high school science courses for many years and was greatly loved and respected by her students. She had a deep faith in God and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was very active in her church, Christ Community Church. Sandra also had a passion for animals and was a profound supporter of many charities and causes that helped animals including the ASPCA, The Redlands Animal Shelter, and Redlands Friends of Shelter Animals (REDFOSA), and Redlands Police K-9 Unit.
A service honoring her life will be held Thursday, July 19 at Christ Community Church, 13300 Indian Street, Moreno Valley, CA at 11 in the morning. She will be laid to rest at the Riverside National Cemetery. The family will also host a viewing on Wednesday, July 18 between 3 PM and 7 PM at the Miller-Jones Mortuary, 23618 Sunnymead Blvd., Moreno Valley, CA
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to causes that represented her life's passions.
