Born Thursday, September 12, 1940, he was the son of the late George Stone and the late Linda Ball Stone. He was the husband of Tonda Stone.
Roy worked for both the Riverside County Sheriffs Department as a detective and for Inland Foundation Engineering as a Soil Technician. Both careers brought him great joy and those he worked with became lifelong friends. He was a very strong and inviting man who liked to share his point of views, He liked to have fun and be social. He was a big reader of Vince Flynn books, he loved to fish whether it be deep sea or fresh water fishery, but one of his biggest passions was restoring classic VW bugs and Fast Backs.
He and his family would spend time camping in Dark Canyon, Idyllwild creating many memories as a family.
He is survived by his son, Chris Stone ( Elisa ), daughters, Nicole Stone-Duffin ( Robert ) of Hemet, CA and Jill Stone, and grandchildren: Jaeger, Tayler, Allyson, Griffin, Kyle, Carson, Dax, Makenna, Christian, Aerinelle and Helena and brothers; Clinton Stone, Phillip Ball and Errol Thompson.
