Roosevelt Green, 74 of Hemet, California passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013, at his daughters residence in Hemet, California. He was a life long resident of Los Angeles, Ca. Roosevelt was born Monday, September 5, 1938 in Jackson Mississippi. He was the loving companion and partner of Ruthie Burns.They were in love for the last 40 years. Survived by a son, Travis Green, daughters, Nicole Smith (Fletcher), Cynthia R. Green Foote (Douglas) and Leixondra Hubbard (Adam), and a brother, Allan Lee. Roosevelt had 7 grand children; John A. Green, De'Vaughn R. More, Paloma B. Hubbard, Golden M. Hubbard, Rachael Green, Miriam Green and Jimmie Smith. 2 great grand kids: Isabella A. Green and Anthony I. Green, . Roosevelt was a painter for over 40 years. He was a very hard worker and loved his job. His family would say Roosevelt was an honest, brave, happy and wonderful father and person. He loved to travel around the city by taking the bus. This allowed him to people watch which he loved to do. His hobbies included watching sports, buying shoes and loved watching the Clippers. The family will have a memorial service February 14th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. The service will be held at The Simpson Family Mortuary 3443 W. Manchester Blvd. Inglewood, Calif. 90305. Officiating will be Pastor Krystal Cutley.
