Robert Wesley Lewis, age 81, of Hemet, California, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018, in Hemet, California. He was born in Los Angeles, California on Friday, December 25, 1936 to Everett and Icle (Howard) Lewis.
Robert was enlisted in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He then worked as a salesman for Prudential Insurance for 33 years, of which 28 years were served in the San Jacinto valley. He also served many years as a volunteer for the Hemet Police department. He was a man of God and served in the church in various ministries and programs. Robert was a hard worker and loving role model who taught his children to have a strong work ethic. Those left to cherish his memory are wife of 61 years, Sharon Lewis, children: Michael Lewis (Shelly), Sandy VanHassel, Steven Lewis (Julie), Kristi Rosales (Neil), one brother David Lewis,17 grandchildren,19 great grandchildren, and a host of other family friends. Robert is also preceded in death by his daughter Teresa Evans (Mike), and 2 grandchildren.
Arrangements are entrusted to Miller-Jones Mortuary, 1501 W. Florida Avenue, Hemet, California.
