Bob spent most of his life in California; he loved its beauty and its opportunity for adventure. From a young age, he lived an active life of surfing, scuba diving, hiking, horseback riding, and riding roller coasters. He worked hard, but he also appreciated seizing moments, chasing adventures, and spending quality time with the people he loved most. Bob put his full effort into everything that he did and poured his attention into everyone he loved.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel and Richard Gillespie. He leaves behind his fiancé, Helen DeSanto and her daughter, Iyrene Hurley (Cory Hurley); his brother, Gary Gillespie; his sisters, Lucille Listorti and Lorraine Cardoza (Richard Cardoza); and many nieces and nephews who will all carry on his legacy of embracing adventure and appreciating life’s quiet and treasured moments.
The family will welcome visitors at the Menifee Valley Memorial Park 26770 Murrieta Rd. Menifee, CA on Tuesday, December 3rd from 6:00pm. The Church service will be held at St. Nichols Orthodox Church 41132 Guava St. Murrieta, CA beginning at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 4th followed by a rememberance meal. The Funeral procession will leave from the Church at 1:30pm to begin the Graveside Service at the Menifee Valley Memorial Park at 2:00pm.
