Rita Faye Campbell, age 85, of Hemet, California passed away on Sunday, July 31st, 2022. Rita was born September 26th, 1936 in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was the daughter of the late George Luther Pruitt and the late Teresa Leona (Thompson) Pruitt. Rita was preceded in death by her husband Edward Francis Campbell, Her Daughter Katheryn Lea Campbell and her son Edward Francis Campbell II.
Rita was a homemaker most of her life. Rita moved to the Hemet area in 1966 and lived at her current residence for the last 45 years.
She is survived by her children, John Campbell, Charlene Arthur and Robert Averette, her siblings Marjorie Gatlin and Richard Pruitt, 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, other family and many “collected children and grandchildren” as she called them, along with a multitude of friends. She loved each and every one of you dearly.
Miller-Jones Mortuary Hemet has the privilege to care for Mrs. Rita. There will be a viewing on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Miller Jones Mortuary and Crematory, 1501 W. Florida Avenue, Hemet, CA 92543. A graveside service will be held at Coachella Valley Public Cemetery on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 8:30 AM at Coachella Valley Public Cemetery, 82925 52nd Avenue, Coachella, CA 92236.
